VOLUNTEERING

VOLUNTEER AT KYNETON RSL

Thank you for your interest in volunteering with the Kyneton RSL. We welcome new people to join our dedicated volunteer team.

There are several areas where people can volunteer.

Fundraising and Appeals
Each year, our volunteers are rostered to fundraise on behalf of our veterans by selling badges before ANZAC Day and poppies before Remembrance Day.
Our Appeals Officer may also require assistance packing and delivering merchandise trays to local schools and businesses before the appeals.

Veteran Support

Veteran Support volunteers provide well-being support to veterans and their families and may undertake a number of roles, including:

  • Hospital & Home Visitation

  • Veteran Transport

  • Welfare Officers

  • Pensions Officers

  • Other Veterans Support Activities

Most veteran support roles require volunteers to undergo a National Police Check for Aged Care. Some roles, such as Pensions Officers and Welfare Officers, also require volunteers to undergo specialised, accredited training to enable them to undertake their duties effectively. At Kyneton RSL, we fully support interested volunteers in becoming accredited.

Commemoration and Memorabilia

For ANZAC DAY and REMEMBRANCE DAY, our Volunteers may be called on to assist at our Annual Commemoration Services.

The Kyneton RSL is the custodian of many items of memorabilia and an extensive library collection. Volunteers are required to manage and catalogue these collections.

Administrative Support

Administrative Support roles may include assisting in the day-to-day running of our club. We always seek people who can freely offer their time, trade, or professional qualifications to help us make Kyneton RSL a better place for Veterans to support and enjoy our community.
