In focus Kyneton
In keeping with the ANZAC spirit, remembering and commemorating the 100 years since the Gallipoli landings and the Australian role in WWI, Kyneton RSL will be opening a resource centre in the venue throughout April and encourage locals to pop in, research and record their family’s connection with these historic events.
The RSL will be running a range of events during April, including an Anzac biscuit bake off, academic and arts awards for local school students and commemorative ceremonies including the traditional march by Veterans on Anzac day Saturday 25th April.
Its fantastic team of volunteers will also be around Kyneton selling Anzac Badges and all of the proceeds go towards supporting Veterans both past and those currently returning home from recent conflicts.
Members ask the community to please show their gratitude and dig deep throughout the appeal.
